This playlist includes clips featuring me and my work. One clip is about Eminem/8Mile. One is from from WXYZ TV Detroit on October 24th 1998. The demolition day of Detroit’s much loved downtown department store, Hudson’s.
I’m a guest commenter (with B-roll footage from our documentary) Hosted By Guy Gordon & JoAnne Purtan.
Also, they do a picture in picture of the day’s college football games during demolition coverage, so there’s that.
The playlist also includes a clip in which I'm interviewed by Greg Kinnear on his 80's home video/VHS review show "Videoactive" on the Movietime network, which became the E! Channel.
The fourth clip is my YouTube Channel intro.

Smith (HollyWatts). Shot mostly on VHS, (as well as some BetaCam footage shot by G. John Slagle, http://www.gjohnslagle.com/ thankfully). It's World Premiere was on the Discovery Channel. The documentary was also broadcast on several PBS stations and won a variety of awards. ( Here's a link to an article in the Los Angeles Times about the production, and the irony of nearly becoming homeless myself). https://static1.squarespace.com/stati... Car Shields Cars Go Farther Guy!!

Tom Bolema (Beefbone Music) and I wrote the rap song for my documentary “Justiceville”. Ice-T took an interest in the project and was kind enough to record a version. Here’s a photo from that session. (Ice-T in the center with his arm on Tom’s shoulder, I’m behind Tom, and Ted Hayes is on my left. Unfortunately, I can’t ID the gentleman on either end of us).
We ended up using a version recorded by HollyWatts (Roger Guenveur Smith) in the documentary.

This article explains how I had to go back and paint over tags left by graffiti writers at the premiere.
People were saying “its the only film that leaves a mark when you screen it”.
